Tonight we watched Pres. Obama's speech re: health care reform. Violet asked, "Is Barack Obama smarter than Daddy?" John and I laughed. Then John replied, " Yeah, probably so."
She's had a little stomach bug the past two days. She's been very sweet. I love to kiss her sweet cheeks and nose. She's very snuggable.

Musicals
Last night, John and Violet and I watched OLIVER!, the musical. Violet asked (with surprise and enthusiasm), "Do they all know the same songs!?"
Then later, she asked, "Can they hear that music playing?" "Can they all hear it?"
How to explain a musical? Everyone just bursts into song and goes about as if it were the usual. Violet was quite perplexed!!
Tonight Violet and I took a stroll around the block. She said, "I wish we were driving to Owensboro. I like to be tired and whine." (Which is what she does in any car trip over 30 minutes.)
